I love iced coffee and would like to try this method, but I think a bit of a narrative would help me understand it better.

The method is called cold brewing. You steep coffee grounds in water, put the mixture in your fridge overnight, and a thick iced coffee results. For more, see Bon Appétit’s July 2012 issue:
